09-21-08:
I've been working at
The Rose Springs
Center for three weeks now and so
far, it's going very well. I've made some new clients
and I got my first repeat client last week! My fellow
practitioners are extremely warm and friendly and I'm
learning a lot from all of them. Today I took time out
of my busy schedule to do the
Race for the Cure
with my friend, Tina. It was definitely a worthwhile cause
and I was very proud when I crossed the finish line. Go me!
:-)

09-04-08:
I saw my 1st client today at
The Rose Springs
Center... It went very well despite my anxiety and
nervousness. For the past couple of weeks, I've been
crazy busy trying to get all the business stuff in order.
I applied for my business license and renewed my liability
insurance. I need to look into forming an LLC for my
massage business now that I'm an independent contractor.
I've spent the last couple of nights designing my
business card
and massage brochure.
It was quite invigorating, creatively speaking. This weekend
I'm taking part in a Alternative Energy and Sustainable
Living Fair where we have a booth set up to provide demos,
conduct lectures and drum up some business. I got an
opportunity to take part in a
pranic healing
session as well as get an
ear seeds treatment from fellow practitioners. Very cool
experience... I also distributed my massage brochure
to some potential clients so hopefully my massage practice
can start to grow. :-) I'm pretty excited... and pretty
exhausted! LOL!
08-09-08: Today
I gave my two week's notice @ Massage 4 You. It was a very
difficult decision but ultimately, it's the right choice for
me to make. I am going to miss all my co-workers and clients
so much but I'm looking forward to starting @
The Rosesprings
Center in Hillsboro, OR. It's a great opportunity in
terms of career advancement and educational opportunities.
I'm looking forward to starting the next step in my
journey... :-) |
