When my brothers and I were young
(probably around 8 or 9 years old) we would pretend we were
superheroes and climb the walls of our old house in Watertown,
MA. There was this nice long corridor that extended
through the house from living room to the bedrooms. Somehow my
brothers could climb higher and hold on longer than me, probably
due to their sweatier, stinkier feet. heheh. It amazes me
that 20+ years later, kids are _still_ doing this!!!
Check-out Jarod and Patrick doing their latest rendition of
...Spiderman, Spiderman, Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman...
:P

Here they are!!! Super-Chibbles!!!
Able to pick up their toys, vacuum their rooms and do the
laundry in a single bound!!! Oh, and yes, it's really them
cooking brunch for _me_ that morning. They cracked
and scrambled the eggs, mixed the pancake batter and flipped the
'cakes as well. The only thing they aren't allowed to do
is turn on the stove by themselves. Oh, and they are
snazzy dressers as well... check out the pics...

The boys had their end-of-season awards
banquet for their Little League team. It was so cool to
hear the coaches say such wonderful things about their
performance. The highlights of the season was when Jarod
made an amazing double-play at third base while Patrick made an
awesome catch as a second baseman. They had a lot of solid
hits and a decent number of rbi's. I'm sure they're
anxious for Spring Training to begin... here are some pics from
that night...

The boys and I went over to a friend's
house to watch the air show. They were more interested in
playing with each other than watching the planes. Can you
believe they've known Jordan since she was just 18 months old?
They fight and play and treat each other just like siblings...
It's so cute when they are together... :)

Jarod and Patrick started their
swimming class today... they love the water! Patrick is on
the far left and Jarod's on the far right. I like the fact
that there are only 4 kids in their class this year. They
seem to like their swimming instructor, Carlin.

This is a picture of Jarod swimming to
the end of the pool with a kick board... look @ him GO!

Patrick's working on keeping his arms
nice and straight while kickin' up a storm!!! :)

This is Patrick getting ready to
blow out the candles on his birthday cake...

This is a picture of a very happy
Patrick... Mouse-over the picture to see Patrick on sugar... HA!

This is a picture of the birthday
boy after he exhausted himself blowing out his candles:

This is a picture of Jarod playing
his recital piece, "Hoe-Down".

This is a picture of Patrick playing
his recital piece, "Ragtime Do-Si-Do".

This is a picture of Jarod and
Patrick swimming with their best friends, Evan, Efay and Eric.

After a couple of hours playing @
the pool, we headed over to Mickey D's for some grub.

Here are pictures of the boys at the
science fair expo. They picked their own projects and did
their own experiments (with a little help from mom & dad).
They were very proud to receive their certificates of
participation. :)

Last week the boys went to the dentist.
Luckily, no cavities! Woo-hoo! As a "reward/treat"
for no cavities, our dentist gives the kids a free coupon for a
personal pan pizza from Figaro's, and they get to pick out a
prize from the prize box. Man, why couldn't I have a
dentist like this growing up? All I got was a stinkin'
sticker. :P
Then on Friday night, the boys and I
went swimming at Conestoga Park and Recreation. It's been
a long time since I took the boys swimming. We met up with
my friend Li-Ying and her three boys and had a blast! I'm
hoping they'll eventually learn to swim on their own. They
can sorta swimming for about 3-4 feet and then stop. They
need to work on their strokes and breathing technique. I
never learned to swim as a kid and so swimming is the one thing
I want to make sure they know how to do.
On Saturday, we went to Patrick's
baseball game. He's learning to be a switch-hitter. heheh.
Afterwards, we went to Home Depot to do their wood-working
workshop but unfortunately they ran out of wood kits.
bummer. We got icecream at Coldstone instead.

The boys and DJ decided to play "ball"
with the neighborhood kids on Mother's Day ... heheh... Thanks
to Emily for these cool pictures:

Patrick's in the middle of "Spring
Training" right now for Little League. I'm not one to
boast or anything but the kid can HIT! I mean, he can
knock one clear over his teammates' heads and out into left
field...easily. heheh. Now if only we can work on
his pitching... ;) As for Jarod, he's thoroughly
enjoying his art studio class. For his first week, he
sculpted a foot long snake out of molding clay. He's even
added intricate details like a forked tongue and a rattle on the
tail. I'll try to take a picture of it when I get the
chance. Oh, and lastly, they just received their piano
piece for their Spring Recital in June. They're doing
really well in Piano and I'm so proud of how far they've come
along with their piano lessons. I'm so impressed...

The tooth fairy has been very, very
busy this past week. heheh. Jarod lost his _second_
tooth yesterday morning and he was so excited to see some more
$$$ underneath his pillow when he woke up today. At this
rate, he'll put the tooth fairy into the poor house. :P
Here's a pic of the proud boy:

etc... :-)
